This book was a great addition to the Lexi Carmichael series I am glad the author took the time to give us a bit of backstory as to how Lexi and the Zimmerman twins met I think this really shows how Elvis came to truly adore Lexi and why he has this constant affection toward her I enjoyed that aspect of the story. The funniest part to me is alluded to in the first book in the series At their first initial meeting she loses her balance, falls and takes Elvis s swim trunks with her Love that. This b [...]

Meet computer geek, Lexi Carmichael She is happy to go to work at her NSA job, eat anchovies on her pizza, play online games on her computer and stay away from hacking Her solitary life gets complicated when her best friend, Basia Kowalski forces her to take a few days vacation, at the beach, with no computer When she gets overtaken by a huge wave and is washed ashore at the feet of a good looking guy she reaches out to get a hand up but accidentally pulls his swim trunks down around his ankles [...]

Fabulous, funny, well written, comfort read did I mention funny Sure, some of it is over the top, but it s Lexi Carmichael The woman is a geek, a klutz and a reluctant sleuth Good times Highly recommended when you need a laugh I will be first in line for the new one in September.

I like these books Lexi is a really non problematic character who gets involved in adventures I love the Zimmerman twins, they are beyond adorable I appreciate the humor, like people thinking their computer is safe if it is password protected I disliked Basia She seems like a lot of girls I ve known, trying to force people into doing what they want to do I think Lexi deserves a better friend than someone who is constantly telling her what to do, or how to act LIVE YOUR TRUTH LEXI LIVE YOUR TRUTH [...]

No Money Down is a prequel novella to introduce us to our heroine Lexi Carmichael It took me awhile to get into this story even though it s only ten chapters long This is part of a series starring our heroine who is a computer technology geek and does this for a living, working with the government Since this is the field that I work in BS in IT I was excited to have a heroine who is kind of like me I was wrong about Lexi, she is written as the typical geek, one best friend, Basia , who is fun lo [...]

Lexi is Awesone This is my first Lexi Carmichael Mystery It had me smiling from the first sentence The characters were well developed as was the plot and I found myself reaching the end of a chapter and not being able to stop I love a good geek story doesn t everybody and I am looking forward to reading this series

Short prequel to the series The best friend, Basia, comes off a bit of a jerk The introduction to Elvis and Xavier was great fun.

Lexi Carmichael is a self proclaimed geek What she can do with a computer would make most techy men weep With a background in hacking, Lexi s talents grant her a job at the National Security Office, which is also home to the Zimmerman twins the only two men whose talents with technology leave Lexi weak in the knees.Best friend and former roommate, Basia, has had enough of techy Lexi She insists the two of them take a vacation to the beach No computers, just rest and relaxation mixed in with a lo [...]

Computer geek Lexi is on vacation with her friend, Basia Basia loves nothing better than to chill on the beach Lexi finds it to be torture since she doesn t like the sun or sand and she has to be in a bathing suit but mostly because Basia made her leave her computer home It becomes enjoyable when Lexi meets Elvis and Xavier Zimmerman who she considers to be the Kings of Geeks It turns out they work for the same government agency as she does and they are experts in gaming. Then Lexi meets a guy i [...]

The Lexi Carmichael mysteries are my go to books when I m feeling blue, under the weather, frustrated with life, or just in the mood for an escape This novella is earmarked as book 2.5 in the series While I read it that way originally, it actually takes place before the series begins, so whenever I re read these books which I ve done at least a dozen times I like to start with this novella and then move into the series proper. This novella introduces us to the Zimmerman twins, who are recurring c [...]

This is the third book in the Lexi Carmichael series, but it s actually a prequel to to books one and two and about half the length That s just an estimate, mind you This is when Lexi met the Zimmerman twins And oh, Elvis is def my favorite I hope she hooks up with him somewhere down the road Anyway, as usual, Ms Moffett gives us a mystery with a HUGE dose of humor Seems Lexi is eager to get Elvis out of his pants snickers No, no, not like sexually Just read it Find out how a wave and rogue vacu [...]

I love the prequel to the Lexi Carmichael series I adore the Zimmerman twins and this is the tale of when they first met worked together I am not a big fan of prequels but I had to try this one and was so glad I did I do wonder when Lexi is gong to realize that a certain computer nerd is crazy about her In typical Lexi fashion, a trip to the beach, a nightmare in her world, gets even complicated than she would ever imagine when she is literally left holding the bag a bag of money that is.

After the first page of the first book, I realized this was going to read like a carbon copy of the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich It s basically the same blueprint, so similar in some cases that I nearly put it down But I still couldn t help but get pulled in These books are quick, entertaining reads I made it through all seven books in a week I ll read the eighth when it comes out in the fall.

This was a completely fun novella that serves as the prequel to the series In it Lexi and Basia are on vacation at the beach where they meet the Zimmerman twins for the first time Lexi quickly also meets a man who s involved in something criminal, and gets Lexi and friends sucked into the problems. There were some incredibly funny moments in the book, but I also liked seeing how the friendship between Lexi and the Zimmerman s began I would give this a B , so 4 1 2 stars.

This was great We learn how Lexi and Basia meet the Zimmermans and it s just the beginning of Lexi s adventures I enjoyed this book a lot, it was pretty hilarious in places I sometimes don t like books that are novellas, but I didn t really feel like there was anything missing The story was great, the characters were true, and it was all wrapped up in the end without feeling like you needed another 10 chapters.

I loved the book but I love all Lexi Carmichael books This is a short novella that fits between book 1 and 2 It describes the meeting with Elvis and Xavier and helps explain the connection I like the later books better but finding out information is always good Geek stories are always fun to read I love technology and Lexi makes it so easy.

Surprisingly not as short as I expected I usually find the novels of JM short and fast paced So I was thinking since this is a 0.5 book it will be ultra short I has a full plot and not so much character introduction which I guess makes it shorter that the regular novel But everything is there Humor, mystery, sticky situations etc I love this series The twins are so adorable.

I put off reading this I ve now read them all and am waiting for the January release, so thought I d give it a shot My experience reading the novellas authors drop in hasn t been positive. This one way.Loved the beach, loved the hints of the future for Basia, loved the mystery including a bad guy with a hidden heart.

This was a cute and sometimes funny novella, but I m not sure why it was written Lexi Carmichael s history had already been established in the first two books Basically this was a quick adventure mystery telling about how Lexi met Elvis and Xavier.Rather than book three in the series it would have been accurate to call it book 0.5.

Short, fun read A little too much action for what is supposed to be the prequel to the first book where she led this completely boring life before the action in THAT book However, if you can suspend disbelief on that, it s well worth the time.

I love this series of books I ve read Lexi s adventures in the previous two and enjoyed going back to discover how she met the twins.Funny, clever, well written and researched, well, all the technical stuff sounded right to me , and an all round good read Can t wait for the next one.

I am proud to say that Julie was my pledge daughter in college longer ago than I care to admit and continues to be a good friend I absolutely LOVE Lexi Carmichael and can t wait for the next onewhich is coming soon

I enjoyed the story I did not appreciate the fact that it was identified as 2.5 in the series while being a prequel to the first story

Interesting seriesI am enjoying all the suspense and spying but I wish the relationships were as well developed as the crimes.

Prequel novella telling how Lexi met the Zimmerman twins Klutzy, social awkward, geek girl Lexi is a fun narrator and I appreciated how she got out of trouble by using her brain.

Quick two hour read This was a prologue to the story that told how Lexi and Basia met Elvis and Xavier It was cute, easy to read, and a fun addition to the story.
