    Ok hands up but who wanted to be a pilot when they were a kid Come on guys there was not just me Admittedly I went as far as being a plane spotter collecting all their registration numbers with my Civil Aviation Marking book underlining them as I saw them Age and sense hits you and you realise you will never be the top gun and standing at an airport to collect aircraft regs passes and you would rather be in the departures lounge heading to the beach.Looking enviously at the aircraft still does n [...]

    A rather bizarre potpourrie of articles on various aspects of flight Great for a young teenager even better for a 2nd childhood

    Who is the ideal audience for this book Superficially it is a book for older children, but I think the best audience is someone a bit interested in aircraft but not especially expert who wants an entertaining look at the history of flight The short chapters cover most elements of flight It s basic stuff, but it shows great skill in the selection of material I really enjoyed it and I am old enough to know much better.
