This was a fun read and brought back memories of books and articles I read while in Jr High and High School These are the kind of things that influenced my career path I have been to most of the areas that Mr Woodcock writes about, which added to my enjoyment of this book Two of my favorite quotes were I am paraphrasing since I do not remember them exactly Unsolicited advice travels no further than the brim of your hat and A man should treat his rifle like his wife If he doesn t care for it an c [...]

This was enjoyable book of hunting stories by an old timer, who hunted and trapped between 1850 and 1900 It s a lovely autumn book, especially for a dreary day when your heart longs to be romping in the woods anyway.

Any fan of the tv show Mountain Men would like this book It s a true tale of Mr Woodcock s experiences back in a time when men really were men and taking a gun into the great outdoors was not looked down upon.

Thanks to volunteers who convert old classics into e books, I was able to read this on my Kindle Great ramblings from Eldred Nathaniel Woodcock about his outdoors adventures from 1855 1905.

Nice old storiesFun book to read he did seem to repeat a few stories here and there A good look at life a hundred years ago.
