This was a fun and exciting book about two friends who like to pretend that they are superheroes and that they need to protect the town for bad guys One day, the boys wanted to fight a real bad guy instead of just garbage cans One of the boys shows the other his Mikanical Man, which was made out of car parts, irons, and metal Later that night Mikanical Man comes to life and the boys have to figure out what to do with him The genre of this book is a fictional picture book which will interest chil [...]

Full review with teaching tools unleashingreaders p 9920What a perfect book to review to coincide with the release of Captain America Civil War It highlights how anyone can be a superhero if they use their imagination and whatever they can find I know that this is going to be a favorite of parents who like comic books and will be a reading ladder to super hero comic books because the next step after fighting Phat Tyre is Green Goblin I also think that the story will really get kids minds reeling [...]

Young readers who enjoy pretending to be superheroes are bound to thoroughly enjoy this story bucky and Stu have pledged to protect their town, the world, and their favorite TV show At first fighting pretend garbage bad guys is plenty of good time, but then Bucky introduces Stu to the ultimate villain the Mikanikal Man When the Mikanikal Man comes to life thanks to a zap of lightning, the boys must face their toughest challenge yet This provides a fun read for young superhero lovers I even got s [...]

My three year old son requests this book every night, and I often hear him reciting lines and character names while he plays on his own He loves the fun villians and Bucky and Stu s fight em stances, which he practices with the same diligence and precision as a yogi and his poses As an adult, I appreciate the clever humor, the beautiful watercolor illustrations, and the nostalgia evoked by Bucky and Stu s backyard adventures of an almost bygone era of outside, imaginative play and pretend uninhi [...]

Love the illustrations so much action The story was a little too complicated Like, what is their favorite TV show That was confusing And they never did battle Phat Tyre that was just kind of left behind For me, this would have been successful with a little condensing and focus Still, I know lots of kids who will love this.

Two friends envision many an imaginary fight and how they as superheroes would save the day So when one day a robot mysterious comes to life and threatens all they hold dear gasp they band together to fight the menace.Illustrations are good.
