Layla Learns to be Brave is a cute story about a little girl from Australia how she learns to defeat her shyness and tries something new It is the first book in the Layla Down Under series Layla is a smart kid who suddenly finds herself in a difficult position when her Mum tells her about a singing club She is unsure about joining the club and imagines she might slip up while singing with the other members But her friends Penny and Zoe have joined the club and not wishing to be alone during rece [...]

This book gets everything right The language is clean, well edited and easy to understand, the story is good, and the illustrations are cute I really liked Layla s active imagination, as well as the trivia about Australia included in the book Did you know that cockatoos can live to be over 100 years old I certainly didn t.The book also delivers its message really well There s a quote from Layla s mom that I will never forget It s OK to be shy It can be scary to do new things But if a safe person [...]

Really enjoyed reading this early chapter book about a second grader named Layla who lives in Australia Young readers learn that while it is okay to be scared of new things, it is also a brave act to try something new.I like the way the author introduces Australian customs, culture and habitat to her readers For example readers learn about gum trees, kookaburras and cockatoos Layla reveals her active imagination when she imagines being a cowgirl and sees bugs in her cupcakes The humor and large [...]

I really liked this book, and my daughter too she is 8 year old.It is just what they need at this age, when they start to be shy getting into new things or people. We liked too that we learned some things about Australia

This is a charming little book The text is perfect for a first chapter book Layla and her family are likable and realistic And the Australian setting is an added bonus.

Really good book and easy to get in to and sounds like Layla had fun at sing club and I really liked reading it and Layla sounds like a great big sister

Excellent Beginner Reader Look for Layla Looking forward to Layla stories We especially enjoyed the touches of Australia This chapter book for young readers is a great addition to your library to build fluency and stamina for young readers who are looking to step into chapter books For the teachers out there, I would say that this is a guided reading level I or J , making it a good independent reading book for 2nd graders.

OutstandingThis easy reader chapter book is just the thing for a child who needs an easy reader but wants to feel older with a chapter book Lots of educational facts about Australia birds, customs along with some about Atlanta, Georgia as week This book will be fun to read while also educating

Bravery and beyondWonderfully written and illustrated children s chapter book Kayla learning to be brave is a great encouragement to all young children who may occasionally be anxious themselves I highly recommend this book, inside your children will see bravery and .

HiThe book is just a short story which explains how a little girl over came her shyness. The emotional dilemma is nicely captured It could have been little lengthy and had further incidents.Fit to be made as a cartoon for kids Under 10 Mins CartoonYoursVN

Nice themes and a good idea for a series showing kids how they can overcome difficulties or uncomfortable situations The story itself didn t quite hold together for me.

so boring but its good for little kids Boring but good for little kids it would be ight tho form Little kids Good luck little kids I hope u like it

Layla Learns To Be Brave , 2015, is an encouraging, powerful subject to broach Whether nervous or in jittery anticipation, we all relate to this Indecision about joining a club seems minor but is a good example of how the world is larger and unknown to children We feel uneasy about things that bear no weight on others Layla fearing not to know songs in the club seemed irrelevant because education is what classes are for However something about her personality made this worrisome to her.I am givi [...]
