I really like Barbara Delinsky s writing However, I was disapointed with the outcome of this book NOT just because it had a sad ending, but because she had the opportunity to show that love could overcome even the worst of circumstances The three wishes were given to Bree as a gift of time since her life had been tragically taken from her I think the story would have been better if at the end, Bree realized that the wishes were not real, but rather the joy that comes from reaching out and claim [...]

It was the most emotional book I have ever read Was so different from your happily ever after romance novels A very unexpected ending I am glad I read it, but wouldn t read it again, because I know the ending If you like heavy emotional other than the just sex and romance, read this One of her best

It s hard to explain why I only gave this book one star without giving away some of the major parts of the story The book is well written but I was very un satisfied by the end of it and finished it thinking WHAT

This was the most predictable book I ve read in ages I knew by the fourth chapter exactly how it would end and I was completely accurate I only picked this up because I read While My Sister Sleeps, and liked it But, I don t think I ll read of this author.

Three wishes by Barbara Delinsky Have read other works by this author and have loved the books. This one starts out in Panama, VT and we find Bree Walker leaving the diner she works at, walking home but she s hit.She wakes up in the hospital with dreams of being given three wishes before she dies for good, out of body experiences that I m not sure I believe it, interesting to learn about.Tom Gates is the man who rescues her and he is there to help in any way he can as she recuperates He s soul se [...]

I can t properly say how bad this book is The female lead is a waitress in a small New England town who has done nothing with her life and plans to spend the rest of her life there as a waitress, with no family and no romantic prospects. The male lead is a world famous author and lawyer Tall, handsome, wealthy, but ashamed of a past that makes it possible for Tom and Bree to get together how else would a man of this caliber fall for a waitress approaching middle age tucked away in the middle of n [...]

A romance set in a small town of Vermont linking diner waitress, Bree Miller, and novelist, Tom Gates The story seemed repetitious at times exploring near death experiences and family themes Overall it had a very positive message and the author did a nice job describing the passing of seasons in a New England setting.

I loved this book because it is so romantic and moving It has a story line that keeps you reading, and when that third wish was granted my heart ached This is truly a tale of giving everything for love.

The story of Bree, small town girl who works in the local diner She s involved in a car accident and has a near death experience She believes that she was sent back to earth and was granted three wishes before she will die again Tom, A recent transplant to the town, witnesses the accident feels responsible He helps her through her recovery and ends up falling in love with her Should she use her wishes to make their life better Will she really die after the third wish

I knew early on how this story would end, but kept reading it, hoping I was wrong I liked the characters, and hoped they would live happily ever after together So I wasn t surprised when they don t I really don t enjoy sad, depressing books Delinsky wrote fairly well, but she continues to use all the usual cliches and doesn t hold much in Alll in all, this book wasn t the worst I have read, but certainly wasn t the best.

Three wishes by Barbara Delinsky was a sweet Christmas read Very predictable but nice The kind of book I enjoy reading over the Christmas holidays I like Barbara Delinsky as an author I ve read a few by her and have never been disappointed.

The only thing you ll remember about this book is the ending And not in a good way.It is a soap opera on paper, a cliche stuffed romance, and that is okay, if you re into that kind, but the problem is that it tried to impersonate a serious novel And that just doesn t work That s the main reason why everyone s pissed at the ending Not soapy enough for a soap opera.Quite early on it becomes crystal clear, what the author is trying to achieve, but you read on and watch that effort burst into flames [...]

I absolutely loved this book It was one of the best ones I have read in a while although parts were hard to take The characters were awesome.

LoveThis is my 2nd time reading this book It s filled with love, you will smile and you will cry It shares complicated life and sunshine after the rain.

Sweet story of second chances and family bonds The three wishes keep you guessing g until the end Very emotionally wrenching.

An amazing story Deserved a 5 stars rating I enjoyed reading this book so much and hoping it will not end so fast A book with a good moral storyline This is a story of Bree and Tom A love story, and family redemption and forgiveness A reminder to all of us What is important in our life I thought the three wishes was just Bree s imagination but they came true after all Overall this is a good book, loved it and will read it again in the future

This book has a good plot and story I enjoyed that part of it very much I chose this book as one of the gift books from the summer reading program at our local library I got a free book for every 4 books I read It looked good The small town on the front cover looks like a place I would like to live except that it is too cold in Vermont Unfortunately, there was too much sex and explicit descriptions to make the book worthy of recommending to ANYONE I would not have even finished it except I had t [...]

I accidentally read a very spoilery review of this book before I started it, and worried that this would interfere with my enjoyment As it turns out, I probably would have figured out the ending at least halfway through this book anyway, so it didn t matter too much But please, people, if you re going to discuss the ending of a book in the first couple of lines of your review, mark it as containing spoilers I only discovered the ending when I did a brief scroll of the page you didn t even have t [...]

This little review, I suppose, contains spoilers It can t help but not, so read with caution. Why didn t I like this book Yep, the ending I, too, was looking for a sappy holiday romance type of thing Sad endings piss me off They don t piss me off when they are ironically tragic, but when they just seem to be there like a punch in the nose on the end of an otherwise nice chat, yeah, I react There are some books that end sadly that I think are fantastic, but this wasn t one I think, in part, becaus [...]

My first encounter with Delinsky occurred a couple of years ago I had never heard of her until one of her books was in a box of books that I paid for, sight unseen I was iffy about reading the book and took it with me to a doctor s office where I was expecting a long wait and would read it, if only out of boredom I actually enjoyed the book and have since picked up a couple of her other works This small hardback came into my possession after my great aunt died and several of her books were passe [...]

I read this quick like a bunny so that I could release it for Valentines Day 2004.While the book was not the top of its genre, it still kept me reading maybe because I m an eternal optimist, and like the concept of three wishes, maybe because I had a near death experience myself, maybe because I wanted to see what happened when she used up her three wishesI m not saying I was glued to it or anything but it had its points It s one of those books you re pretty sure you ve figured out, but then wan [...]

I ve become quite the Barbara Delinsky fan this year, that said, this book was not a favorite I ve thought about it a bit trying to pin down exactly why The writing was ok, the story was ok, the ending was actually dramatic than I had anticipated but was somewhat predictable She didn t take the easy way out to end the book which I appreciated The fact is the final couple of chapters are why I gave it two stars instead of 1 Will try not to put in spoilers. It just didn t grip me, I found myself t [...]

Reading this book, you can t help but wish that you lived in Panama The traditions the author details about the towns events just make you want to live there It s like a rural paradise which fits my own backwoodsy family and instincts Based on the books I ve read by her, I ve decided that Barbara Delinsky is, overall, a grandma writer That may be because my grandma loves her, or it may be because, in her photo, she is wearing those white grandma shoes You know the ones Regardless, Delinsky creat [...]

I have mixed feelings about this book I think one of the reasons why is because I started to read some not so good reviews about it before I read it It started out to be one of those fruity everything is perfect book, even though the main character gets hit by a car and nearly dies But she s hit by the gorgeous perfect guy who falls in love with her, so everything s fine and dandy The odd part about the book was not only Bree s near death experience, but the fact that she couldn t get over it, a [...]

I ve always found the thought of being given 3 wishes a little troubling Suppose I pick something for the betterment of someone, such as I wish so and so will get the job they are interviewing for and want, and they end up getting the job But then suppose something bad happens because they get the job, like they slip on the step of the office and end up with severe injuries or worse Or I might wish to win the lottery and end up in an accident while going to pick up my winning check One has to be [...]

I liked this story up to the end I absolutely did not like the end and it was one of the few rare books that I wanted to throw across the room because of the ending.

I should NEVER read the reviews before I start a book, never Unfortunately I did and I know the end as I read It really does not add to the enjoyment of a book, in my opinion, and I strayed and am paying the price.Nevertheless, this is a bit of a contrived book The heroine is grounded, sensible, beautiful and by all accounts, then has a life death experience that makes her question everything and not use good old common sense when making her decisions, so a contradiction I did enjoy the descript [...]

I think this has been my favourite Barbara Delinsky book so far Fabulous What if wishes really could come true It s the question facing waitress Bree Miller when she awakens in the hospital following a blizzard in sleepy Panama, Vermont Although she can t recall the near tragedy that landed her there, she s overcome with the certainty that she has been granted three wishes One seems to have come true already at her side is renowned author Tom Gates, the accident s only witness, who had come to P [...]
